

Paul Walker, 61, of Worthington, Indiana, formerly Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016. Paul grew up in Terre Haute before joining the Marines. During the 8 years he proudly served his country, he obtained the Sergeant rank and was a member of the I&I Duty staff. His bravery didn’t stop after the Marines; he worked as a Senior Officer Specialist at the Federal Penitentiary. Not only did he join the DCT, but also the SORT team during his 26 years there. He held many memberships throughout his life, including to the NRA, VFW, and the Mountain Men. Paul was an avid outdoorsman; he loved spending his free time hunting and fishing and taking rides on his Harley. More than anything, Paul loved his family and spending time with them. Paul is survived by his wife of 44 years, Becky Walker; children, Paul “Skip” Walker and Loshia (Dennis) Walker-Teitloff; mother Edie Anderson; siblings, Timothy (Susan) Walker, Christine (Rob) Norris, and Andrea (Mac) McPherson; grandchildren, Shawna Walker, John (Destiny) Walker, Michael Mize, Madison Mize, Nathaniel Mize, and Walker Mize; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Tytan Walker; nephew, Dean Wilson; and brother-in-law, Jay (Susan) Braner.
A visitation in Paul’s honor will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Thomas Funeral Home in Terre Haute, Indiana. Paul will be laid to rest at Highland Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Paul’s honor to the Correctional Peace Officer Foundation at www.cpof.org.
