Robert was born October 6, 1944 to Virgil and Thelma Louise Black in Terre Haute.
He was a 1962 graduate of Garfield High School, as well as a proud Marine Vietnam Veteran.
Bob's life consisted of 40 years of Law Enforcement, Marine Corps Military Police, the Terre Haute Police Department, and the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility.
He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corp League and the Veterans of Foreign War Post 972.
Bob is survived by his son, Robert S. Black; and his grandchildren, Mason Black and Chloe Black.
Per Bob's wishes, cremation has been chosen. There will be no services.
