

He was a 1973 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo and a 1977 graduate of Indiana State University. Robert worked at Coca-Cola for thirty-three years and then moved to Marion Manufacturing where he retired from in 2017. He was a member of Lost Creek Conservation Club, Riley Conservation Club and the Indiana Blacksmithing Association. He was a past member of the Wabash Valley Mustang Club, Corvette Club and Circle City Aquarium Society. Robert enjoyed raising tropical fish, blacksmithing, shooting sports and the Sweatbox Gym.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara and his father-in-law, Max Youngblood.
Robert is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betsy” (Youngblood), whom he married in December, 1975; his children: Amanda (Joe) Michaels and Bobby (Vannessa) Hargis; his grandchildren: Elijah Higgins, Kyli Higgins, Stephanie Michaels, Jennifer Michaels, Garrett Ellis, Gavin Hargis and Gabriella Hargis; his great-grandchildren: Grayson Roberts and McKinley Higgins; his sister, Karen (Lynn) Allen; his mother-in-law, Nancy Youngblood and a large extended family.
Per Robert’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
