

Ronda Lee Gant, 71, of Terre Haute passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 after a long battle with several health issues. Ronda was born on March 12, 1944 to Bill and Lois McGlosson. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1962. Ronda was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and was a Girl of the Year for the state of Indiana. She married Ray Gant on November 15, 1974. Ronda retired from Columbia House after almost 40 years.
Ronda enjoyed many things but nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. She loved Jesus and learned to do so at Maple Avenue United Methodist Church. She loved to socialize, travel, and sing in the choir. She also loved to cook and collect cookbooks. She loved kids and showed it by working with the youth. Ronda loved the Twelve Points and Collet Park area. Most of all, Ronda loved life and people. She loved watching her kids and grandkids growing and doing what they were good at. She loved the people that came into her life and spending time with them, up to and including the weekend before she passed.
Ronda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Ronda is survived by her sister Elsie and Dale Hummel of Elkhart, son Mike and wife Julie Gant, daughter Kris Gant, son Scott and wife Krista Gant. She was also survived by grandchildren Brittany Sherron, Ryan Gant and wife Racheal, Sarah Abrahams, Justin Gant and wife Rachel, Kaitlyn Gant, Aaron Gant, Josh Gant, Noalin Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins and great-grandchildren Jordan and Ozzie. She was also survived by nieces and nephews Missy and Mike Jones, Chuck and Carrie Gant, Lori Hummel Coomey, Jordan Gant, Jayme Johnson-Copeland, Elizabeth Perkins, Reegan Copeland, Chisam Gant, Chase Gant, Collin Gant, Shelby Williams, Alix Jones.
The family would like to thank all of the men and women of Meadows Manor North, Southwood Transitional Care, Transcare, Terre Haute City ADA bus service, Forsenius, Regional and Union Hospital who worked with her the last few years of her life. The family would also like to give a special thanks to Bonnie Jones and Pastor David Rockhill of Maple Avenue United Methodist church for their special friendship and service to Ronda.
Ronda will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery next to her love on Friday November 20th at 11:00AM with a visitation Thursday from 4 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, if you'd like, please donate to the American Diabetes Association or American Veterans Foundation.
