Susan Emily Pfleging, 89, lifelong resident of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on February 15, 2026. Susan was born on January 6, 1937, in Terre Haute to Daniel Pfleging Jr and Doris (Weber) Pfleging.
Susan earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree at Indiana State University. She was a teacher with the Vigo County School Corporation until her retirement in 1994.She was a proud member of the Women’s Department Club and Alpha Delta Kappa Women Educators Honorary Sorority. Susan was also a Delta Gamma Alumna. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Doris Pfleging; a brother, Philip Pfleging; a sister, Theresa Scott; and a niece, Kathryn Scott.
She is survived by her nephews: Craig Scott (Melanie), Steven Scott and Kurt Scott; and nieces: Julia Pfleging, Jennifer Pfleging and Elizabeth Pfleging.
Susan will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park.
