Taejon Lamare Norton, 24 of Terre Haute passed from this life to the next on March 10, 2016. “Tank” as his mom, Toya Norton, so lovingly called him, was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 3, 1992. Before leaving this earth, Taejon found out and was looking forward to being the proud father of the little one he affectionately called “Peanut”.
So many things were going well for Taejon. He was recently accepted in the Laborer’s Union and was working at a local lumberyard. He was also attending Ivy Tech studying to be an auto mechanic. Taejon was an exceptional artist; a hidden talent that only close family and friends knew about. Taejon loved fashion. He really LOVED FASHION. He had the gift of being able to throw a look together in a blink of an eye.
Taejon had the ability to lift others up when they were down. He was loved by so many who he had helped through a dark time. He touched many lives even in the midst of his own pain.
Taejon loved his mom and was a ‘Momma’s Boy”. He is survived by her, Toya Norton-Dunn, and his step-father, Michael Dunn. He is also survived by his sister, Sierra Norton (David Sheehy); brother, Chaz Norton (Cailee Thompson); step-brother, Michael Dunn Jr.; grandma, Carla Stokes; aunt, Keyonna Stokes; nieces and nephews, Alayziah Owens, Diamond Norton, Zaveion Norton, David Sheehy Jr., Jayden Norton, and Jaecion Norton; cousins, Keith and Keion Crowder; and many aunties, step-aunties, family members and friends.
He is now with those family members that preceded him in death, great-grandmother, Barbara Norton; great-grandfather, Earl Norton; and great-uncle, Wayne Norton.
On Wednesday, March 23rd at 3:00 PM a memorial service with Pastor Kyle Andrews officiating will be held at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home with burial in Grandview Cemetery to follow. Friends and family may leave words of comfort at www.mattoxwood.com
