
He was a graduate of Garfield High School, Otter Creek Junior High, and Maple Avenue Elementary School. He served in the Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his sister, Rebecca Ward, previously of Prairie Creek, IN, currently of Ashland, MA; one nephew, John (Megan) Ward of Greencastle, IN; a niece Lori (Brian) Karpes of Ashland, MA; a great-nephew, Ian Karpes; and many beloved cousins.
Bill was a lover of nature, photography, and outdoor activities, especially riding his bicycle everywhere in any weather up until his death. As a child and teen, he was very active in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and was a proud member of Troop 24 from Barbour Avenue Church, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He first discovered his enjoyment of bicycle riding as a member of the Boy Scouts, earning a badge for many miles ridden.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Benjamin Brammer, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Roselawn Cemetery at 2pm.
