He was born on July 26, 1948, in Terre Haute, to James K. and Marie (Rogers) Norton.
William is survived by his children: Jerry (April) Norton, Thomas (Amy) Leturgez, Gabriel (Melanie) Norton, Terry (Heather) Norton, William (Jolynn) Norton Jr., Nila (Clarence) Stephens, and Betty (Therman) Hayes; along with his 32 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings.
William served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing and hunting for mushrooms. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Gabriella Norton; and his four brothers: Chuck, Ken, Emery, and Stephen Norton.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 1 P.M. at Roselawn Funeral Home, with Minister Thomas Leturgez officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 Am until time of services at the funeral home.
