William C “Bill” Redington, 67, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born on October 17, 1957, in Terre Haute to Robert E. Redington and Clementine Redington.
Bill graduated from State High School and went on to marry the love of his life and best friend, Carol Ann Redington. Together, they shared 43 beautiful years of marriage and built a life centered around love, family, and hard work.
He was a true jack of all trades, a man who could build just about anything with his own two hands. He took great pride in creating a home for his family, not just with wood and nails, but with dedication, sacrifice, and love. In his younger years, he loved being active—spending long days outside with his kids, playing basketball until the sun went down, riding bikes for miles, and fishing whenever he could.
In his children’s eyes, he wasn’t just a father—he was a real-life superhero. A man of quiet strength, unwavering love, and a sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest days. Those who truly knew him saw the depth of his heart. If you were his friend, you were a friend for life. He was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need.
Bill was a man of faith who loved Jesus with all his heart. His life was rooted in humility, strength, and devotion to the people he loved most. He was someone you could always count on.
Being “Pappy” was one of his greatest joys. His love for his grandchildren was undeniable, and nothing made him prouder than talking about them or spending time with them. The lessons he taught and the love he gave will live on through each of them.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Ann Redington; his parents, Robert and Clementine Redington; and his siblings, Evelyn, Terry, Bobby, and Edith.
He is survived by his son, Ryan Redington (Courtney), and his daughter, April pate (Clete) along with his nine grandchildren: Caiden, Blaine, Cain, Coby, Bryer, Morgan, Chloe, Ava, and Chloe P., who will carry on his legacy of strength, love, and resilience. Bill will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep love for his family, his hardworking nature, his goofy sense of humor, and the way he made those around him feel safe and cared for. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Reunited with the love of his life and finally at peace.
A celebration of Bill’s life will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at North Terre Haute Christian Church Fellowship Hall, 3133 E Park Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana 47805.
