

Angela Marie Vaught Bennett, 39, of McKinney passed away at Medical Center of McKinney on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Born Sept. 23, 1974, in Dallas, Texas, Angela was a devoted wife and loving mother and leaves behind the loves of her life, husband, Lance Bennett, and precious daughter, Emma Grace. A beautiful woman inside and out, Angela's ability to always shine brightly in any situation will be a treasured memory by all who were privileged to have known and loved her. Taking care of others was simply her character, and she was happiest spending time with her family. She was renowned for her culinary talents, her husband Lance can't ever remember having a bad meal throughout almost six years of marriage. Angela was also a naturally gifted hostess with a talent for decorating and could make anyone feel comfortable with her genuine, loving personality. She was a graduate of Wills Point High School, where she later worked as VP of Accounting, but when she wasn't working or taking care of her friends and family, she loved to travel. She had many opportunities to do so accompanying her husband Lance, a PGA Tour caddie, on the tour. Lance also surprised her with a romantic vacation to Paris, fulfilling a lifetime dream of hers. Preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Fred Vaught, Angela leaves behind her loving husband Lance Bennett of McKinney; daughter Emma Grace Bennett; parents Bobby and Lena Shaw of Edgewood; brother Bobby Gene Shaw of Wills Point; grandmother Monta Vaught of Forney; uncle Marty Vaught and wife, Nona of Forney; as well as other extended family members and a host of friends who will miss her dearly. Her funeral service will be on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at 1:00pmat First Baptist Church in Terrell, 403 N. Catherine, Terrell, TX, 75160, with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 6-8pm, on Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made in honor of Angela to the Epilepsy Foundation of Texas atwww.eftx.org.
