
Howard Glenn Parker, died peacefully on Monday April 27, 2015 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco, TX at the age of 71 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Graveside service will be at 2:00pm, Friday, May 1, 2015 at Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Thursday, April 30, at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Aaron Glenn Parker of Quinlan, Texas daughters Patricia Ann Gager of Hewitt, Texas and Mary Elizabeth Shelby of Sherman, Texas and grandchildren, Brian Parker, Brandy Hathcock, Mandee Taylor, Felicia Lang, Josephine Turner and Toby Gager. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Parker, Leon Parker and his sister Lillian Allen. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Parker, his Daughter Carey Mae Parker who has been missing from Quinlan TX since March 17, 1991. He was born in Dallas TX on December 5, 1943 to James Berry Parker and Mary Lou Hunsaker Parker. He married Elizabeth on January 19, 1965 in Collin County and spent most of his life serving others. He was an Army veteran who served his country with pride during the Vietnam War. He served his community by volunteering for many years at the Waco Bay and Rolling Oaks Fire Departments. He was a dedicated husband who cared for Elizabeth while she suffered from MS for over 2 decades. He raised his own 4 children and took in his daughter’s 3 children after she went missing. He was an avid fisherman and a modest man who loved without expectation. He will be greatly missed.
