Lesia Gail Thornton

Lesia Gail (Baker) Thornton, 46, of Terrell, TX passed away on March 12, 2015. Lesia was born on February 21, 1969 to Bobby Joe and Ida Mildred Baker in Terrell. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a truly kind and loving person. After 5 years of courtship, Lesia married Augustus Thornton on September 2, 2005, sharing 14 years of their lives with each other. Lesia spent her happiest days as 'G-ma' for her grandson Braun and surrounded by her family, friends, and dogs. Those who have preceded her are grandparents Thomas and Lillie Mae Baker and Elmer and Dorothy Brand. Those remaining who cherish her memory are: husband Augustus; parents Bobby and Ida Baker; sons Brandon Potter and wife Lauren and Steven Potter and partner Cason; grandson Braun Potter; brother Bobby Baker; sisters Brenda Sanders and husband Christopher and Patricia White and husband Robert; nephews and nieces: Dylan Baker, Brittany Baker, Kayla Goode, Marrisa Baker, Dalton Brown, Cortney Sanders, Caitlin Sanders, and a great-nephew Preston Buccafurno who will all miss her dearly. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, from 6-8 in the chapel at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home. The family will celebrate the life of Lesia on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in the funeral home at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Oakland Memorial Park.
