Virginia Spencer, 84, passed away on March 18, 2016, and was surrounded by her family who loved her very much. She was born on November 13, 1931 to Lawrence Edward and Mamie Canzada Robertson in Cherry Valley, AR. When Virginia was young, she and her siblings lost both their parents. She and her older sister Veda took care of the other four siblings. They were more like parents to their siblings, than sisters. Their Daddy had a friend who built them a house, and Veda and Virginia did everything they could to keep the family together. She was one of the sweetest women in the world. Virginia would, and has, given the shirt off her back to people in need. One of her favorite things to do was sing and play music. She was a great guitar player, singer, and song writer. Family and friends would come join her every Saturday night at her home, to play their instruments and sing songs. She read the Bible through seven times and was the family’s go to person when they had questions about the Bible, because of her knowledge. She was a strong Christian woman, who loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Virginia was a beloved Sister, Mother, Grandma, Granny and Aunt. Those who have preceded her in death are her parents, husband Charles Spencer, son Ronald David Tyner, and brother Edward Lafyette Robertson. Those left to cherish her memory are: children Diane Mitchell and husband Richard, Rickey Tyner and wife Kathryn and Randy Tyner; siblings Veda Catlett, Juanita Manley, Wanda Beeson and husband Kent and Maxine Robbins and husband Charles; 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, who will all miss her dearly. The family will celebrate Virginia’s life on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, in the chapel of Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home, Terrell, TX, at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 21, 2016, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow the services at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney, TX.
