

Afton Butler, 92, of Texarkana, TX passed away February 14, 2012 in a local nursing home. Mrs. Butler was born November 29, 1919 in Willisville, AR. She was a member of Westlawn Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Butler.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Norbert H. and Louise Butler of Texarkana, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ralph L. Baker of Texarkana, TX; sister, Merle Hohman of Dallas, TX; brother, Watson Martin of Dallas, TX; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Tracey and Tim Green of Corpus Christi, TX and Rochelle and Kelly Knighton of Texarkana, TX; a granddaughter Narrissa Romero of Maryland; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Ricky and Mary Baker of Ashdown, AR; John D. and Kandie Butler of Wake Village, TX; Corey and Tina Butler of Dallas, TX; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Union Cemetery at Bodcaw, AR with Rev. Steve Reeves officiating. Burial is under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.

Directons from Texarkana to Union Cemetery in Bodcaw, AR. are as follows: I 30 East to exit 31, turn left on Highway 29, turn left on Bill Clinton Bypass, turn left at 2nd light on Highway U.S. 278, about 15 miles to junction 278 and 53, turn right on highway 53, about three miles to Union Baptist Chruch and turn left at chruch, cemetery about half mile on right.
