Mr. Stokes was preceded in death by his wife Alice Louise Stokes.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Steve Pearce of Zwolle, La; three sons and daughters-in-law Gary and Deborah Stokes of Plano, TX., Brad and Jennifer Stokes and Garth and Stephanie Stokes both of Texarkana, TX; two sisters Dorothy Martin of Beckville, TX. and Louise Buford of Austin, TX.; one brother Wayne Stokes of Brownfield, TX; one sister Patsy Austin of Apple Valley, CA. 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Wednesday at East Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Josh McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at East Funeral Home-Downtown.
