Billy Frank Ward

Billy (Papa) Frank Ward, 70, of Ashdown, AR passed on to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, April 4, 2011 at a local hospital. Mr. Ward was born January 4, 1941 in Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by both of his parents Ocie and Patsy Ward and one son, Stacey Ward.

Mr. Ward during his lifetime was a Miller County Sheriff Posse from 1968-1969, he spent a lot of his life working all over the world as a pipeline welder. He spent 26 years at Domtar in the mill service department where he retired. His last adventure was buying a log truck and trucking company with his better half, Kathy as K W Trucking. Billy gave his life to Jesus Christ Monday February 14, 2011 and could not wait to work for the Lord, the Lord had a different plan.

Survivors include, the love of his life Kathy Joyner Williams Ward, four sons and daughters-in-law, Steve "Rebel" and Shawn Ward, Dale Ward, Travis and April Tutnam, Robert "Tiger" and Alesha Jones, one daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Charles Lynn Fischer, one brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Marsha Ward and one sister and brother-in-law Betty and Don Blackmon, one sister-in-law Shirley Cobb, two brother-in-laws and wives Bob and Rita Joyner, Burt and Sandra Joyner and a very special mother-in-law Mary Joyner. Billy's pride and joy were his grandchildren Shelby Ward, Aaron Ward, Lynn Fischer, Lance Fischer, Cody Jones, Erin Jones and Zackary Jones, as well as many other family members and friends.

Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Augustine Alaniz officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Church of Christ Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
