She was preceded in death by her father, P. H. Vaughn, her mother, Nell Phillips, her step-father, Boland Phillips and her brother, Pat Vaughn.
During her life she attended several Art Institutes in Shreveport and Kansas City. She also managed several restaurants and motels. After her step-father died she and her mother opened a antique business named after her mother and her niece "Sherry" called "LaNell's Antiques". They ran this for many years until it became to difficult.
She is survived by her niece "Sherry" Sharon Logan and husband, Spencer, niece Renee Logan and her daughters, Jessica and Kacy McGough, niece Susan Self and her son Logan Cole, special cousins, Felix Ramen and wife Doris and Bill and Janet Lanier.
Services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane with Brother David Smith officiating. Services are under the direction of East Funeral Home -Moores Lane.
