Dolores Lucille Attaway

Dolores Attaway went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2025 , at the age of 84. Born on April 12, 1941, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, she lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family and her Savior.

Dolores was married to the love of her life, LA Attaway, for 61 wonderful years. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, mutual respect, and shared faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Martha Johnson, and her sister, Jewell Ramey.

She is survived by her devoted husband, LA Attaway; her four children, Cherie Brown, Lance Attaway (Lauren), Marc Attaway (Jennifer) and Sonny Morrison; five beloved grandchildren, Jared Brown (Anne), Ashleigh Nard (LaGari), Austin Attaway, Shane Robertson and Jade Robertson; and three cherished great-grandchildren, Ainsley Brown, Shepherd Brown, and Silas Nard.

Dolores was a faithful woman whose life reflected the light of Christ in all she did. Her unwavering belief, compassionate heart, and deep love for the Lord were evident in the way she lived and loved. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and unshakable trust in God's plan touched everyone who knew her.

Dolores was a member at First Baptist Church where she was involved with the Senior Sunday school class and volunteered her time working in the church library.

A celebration of Dolores's life will be held 10am Wednesday, May 21 2025, at East Funeral Home, 2807 Moores Ln. in Texarkana, Texas with Rev. Bryan Bixler officiating. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery in Fouke, AR.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the funeral home.

Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the life of a woman who truly lived by faith and walked in grace.

Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Attaway, Luke Armbrister, Jared Brown, LaGari Nard, Shane Robertson, and Matthew Tannehill,
