He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service; a member of First Church of the Nazarene; and a U. S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Elizabeth Bowen of Texarkana, TX; daughter, Donna Potter of Little Rock, AR; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald R., Jr. and Traci A. Bowen, of Flower Mound, TX and William K. and Debora Bowen of Queen City, TX; sister, Loretta McCloskey of Wake Village, TX ; brothers, James Bowen and William C. Bowen both of Texarkana, TX; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane with Pastor Chris Sutherland officiating. Burial will be in HIllcrest Memorial Park under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
