Elizabeth M. Humes

Mrs. Humes was born in March 27, 1919 in Shreveport, LA. She was a retired legal secretary and a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Texarkana, AR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen F. Humes, in 1990, and an infant son.

Mrs. Humes is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Betty Humes and two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and John Haltom and Jan and Mike Hughes all of Texarkana, AR. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Deborah Burnett, Teresa and Jeff Misenheimer, Jennifer and Alan Neal, Connie and Joel Brooks, Stephen and Michelle Haltom, and Amy and Michael Henderson, all of Texarkana, AR. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2010 at East Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial is under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the funeral home.
