Harold Woodington

Harold Nelson Woodington, 79, of Texarkana, AR passed away October 24, 2011 in a local hospital. Mr. Woodington was born October 27, 1931 in Philadelphia, Penn. He was retired from the city of Fort Myers, FL in 2003. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force; he was a tail gunner on B52 and served on the Strategic Air Command Combat Crew. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 1968 and relocated to Lakeland, FL and was 32nd degree Mason..

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Paula J. Woodington, the mother of his two children; and his second wife, Patricia Lynn Woodington.

Survivors include his daughter, Michelle R. Cowan and son-in-law, Brandon W. Cowan of Texarkana, AR; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee Woodington and Rena Woodington of Tennessee; two grandsons, Dustin Lee Lawrence and Christopher Gene Chandler of Georgia; one sister, Joan Worthingotn of Lakeland FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Old Tyme Burger Shop, Arkansas Blvd. and Jefferson Ave. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home –Downtown.
