Henrietta Genevieve Johnson, 83, of Wake Village, TX passed away March 14, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born November 28, 1932 in Texarkana, TX. In her 20's she volunteered and served the Buchanan Methodist Church and in her 30's on she was a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dewell Johnson, Jr., who was so good to her.
Survivors include her daughters, Loma Karen Johnson of Wake Village, TX and step-daughter,Dorothy Sue Austin of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Ada Mae McDaniel of Texarkana, TX; brother, David Matthews of Dekalb, TX; grandson, Aaron Austin and his wife, Leigh of Little Rock, AR and great grandson, Nate Austin of Little Rock, AR; friend, Ray Seaman, Jr. and his mother Ann Seaman and special friend Travis Scott with home health numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral service will be 3pm Monday, March 21, 2016 under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown. Family will receive friends from 12pm to prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
