J Elwyn Allen

J. Elwyn Allen, age 85, of Texarkana, AR, passed away on June 20, 2022. Elwyn Allen was born June 1, 1937 and lived most of his life in Texarkana, AR. He was a member of the Christ Methodist Church. Elwyn graduated from Arkansa High School and attended Draughon School of Business in Little Rock, AR, where he met the love of his life Mary Jane Mason. Elwyn worked and retired in Texarkana as a bid writer for wholesale plumbing companies where he thrived and made many friends. Elwyn is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Mason Allen, his three sons, Kenneth Allen, of Paris, AR, Timothy Allen (Kellie) of Ridgefield, WA, and Gregory Allen of Las Vegas, NV, five grandchildren, and five great-grand children. Visitation will be 1 July, from 5:00-7:00PM and Chapel services will be held 2 July at 10:30 AM at the East Funeral Home, 602 Olive Street with a burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
