

James Allen Rayborn was born to Frank A. and A. Ola Rayborn on May 5, 1930 in Waldo, Arkansas. He went peacefully to be with Jesus on October 9, 2025. God blessed James and his family with his 95 years on this earth. He worshipped at the Church of Christ at both Franklin Drive and Belt Road in Texarkana.
James loved and is survived by his children Brent A. and Connie Rayborn, Rhenee S. and Phillip Moore and Brenita Powell; his brother, Ronald G. and Audrey Rayborn; his grandchildren Ashley and Kyle Derrick, Camille Moore, Josh and Brittany Moore, Ginger and Alex Simpson; his great-grands Tristen, Trent, Tripp, Tinsley, Jase, A.J, Garrison and Mollee and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Bobbie Nell Rayborn, his mother and father, his brothers and sister, Percy ‘Woody’ and Dixie Rayborn, R.J. and Virgie Holt and Ruby Sharp.
James loved woodworking and fishing with his family! His love language was one of helping and caring for his family. His grands and great-grands were a bright spot in his life.
He worked at and retired from International Paper after 45 years. James last residence was at the Retreat at Kenwood. The staff at the Retreat was his adopted family loving and caring for him every day!
The visitation is at East Funeral Home on Moores Lane Sunday, October 12th from 5 – 7 p.m. with a graveside service on Monday, October 13th at 10 a.m. in Waldo, AR at Shiloh Cemetery (Lamartine) led by James’ cousin Walter Lee Daniels, Sr.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation.
