

Mr. Otwell was born on January 28, 1922, to JB and Ethel Otwell of Cale, Arkansas. In 1940, he enlisted in the Arkansas Army National Guard where he served in Company C, 1st Battalion, 153rd Infantry, transferring to the US Army Air Force in 1943.
After his discharge, he managed a successful career as both a master printer and an office equipment salesman. Mr. Otwell retired from Ragland’s Office Equipment in Texarkana.
On April 14,1949, Mr. Otwell was called to spread the word of Jesus Christ and minister as a Pentecostal preacher. His twilight years were devoted to sharing his story, in hopes of bringing others closer to the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Christine Otwell, and one son, Randy Otwell.
He is survived by one sister, Myrtice Manning of Wake Village, Texas; one brother, Jack (Margaret) Otwell of Texarkana, Texas; sister-in-law, Opal Otwell of Queen City, Texas; one son, Gary (Millie) Otwell of Denton, Texas; one daughter, Toni (Mike) Larey of Texarkana, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Sandy Orange of Frisco, Texas, Tina (Buzz) Lamoureux of San Antonio, Texas, Heath (Deidre) Larey of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Lauren Cross of Texarkana, Texas; six great grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Zack, Samantha, Lawson, and Layne; his faithful companion, Bo Jangles; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at East Funeral Home – Downtown.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 26th, 2023 to begin at 10:00 a.m. at East Funeral Home – Downtown Chapel , with Bro. Billy Wayne Dupree officiating.
Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens in Texarkana, Arkansas.
