Jefferson Daniel Holder III, of Texarkana, TX entered into the presence of Jesus on December 2, 2023. He was born the son of J.D. and Lucille Holder of Pickens, SC on May 11, 1933. He lived in Texarkana with his wife for the last 22 years.
HIs Celebration of Life service is 11 a.m. Wednesday December 6 at First Baptist Church of Texarkana, 3015 Moores Lane., Texarkana, with Dr. J.D. Tutell officiating the service. There will be a visitation on Tuesday December 5 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m at East Funeral Home, 2807 Moores Lane, Texarkana.
He was a loving husband for 64 years to Setsuko Holder. He loved his family and his Savior Jesus. He was a 32 year veteran of the United States Air Force. His hobbies included working on cars, air conditioning repair, building and flying radio controlled airplanes. He assisted with the building of several churches. In Texarkana he was a member and Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Texarkana for the last 22 years, and of the local chapter of the Korean War Veterans Chapter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Lucille Holder, his brothers Billy Holder and Johnny Mauldin Holder, his sister Tweety Ball and grandson Zachary Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Setsuko, sister Judy Holder of Bangor, Maine, daughter Mary (Rex) Jones of Gilbert, Arizona, Linda (J.D) Tutell of Phoenix, Arizona, granddaughters, Victoria Gaskin and Sarah Tutell, and great granddaughters Willow and Jones Gaskin.
Burial will be in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ with military honors under the direction of Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary Funeral Home.
