She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Boggs, and brother, Robert Boggs.
As the daughter of a Methodist minister, Marcie had lived in various Louisiana cities, including Denham Springs, Colfax, Baker, Roanoke, Sulphur, and Minden, before living in Houston, Texas for ten years, and the last ten years in Atlanta, Texas.

Marcie enjoyed her family and friends most of all. She was sincerely loyal to those she loved (and she loved many) and kept longtime friends for whom she would do anything at any time. She also enjoyed cooking, decorating and crafts, shopping, travel, concerts, and her beloved Disney World (which she shared with her longtime friend, Shannon Guidry).
Marcie was a dedicated Christian and loved her Lord. God gifted Marcie with a beautiful voice, which she used to serve Him by singing with church groups, as well as solos.
"No farewell words were spoken; no time to say goodbye - You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why"...We hope you are dancing in the sky and having a grand family reunion celebration, but know that we love and are missing you dearly, until we are reunited again!
