Mary Lou McVay Pridgen

Mary Lou McVay Pridgen passed away on September 22, 2014 surrounded by her family. Mary was born on August 4, 1942 in Texarkana, Texas to Jansen L. (Pete) and Inez McVay. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Jack Hammond Pridgen and her 3 daughters and son-in-laws Joanna and Russell Woodard of Texarkana, TX, Mary Beth and Scott Searcey of Edmond, OK, and Jill Pridgen and John Rodriguez of Mabank, TX.

She is also survived by her grandchildren who were the joy of her life- Jacey and Juliet Pridgen, Audra and Laura Humphrey, Jenna and Kate Woodard, and Patrick and Anna Searcey.

Other survivors are her brother and sister-in-law Roger and Doris McVay of Texarkana, TX and her sister and brother in-law Sue and Bill Small of Rockwall, TX, as well as 2 nephews and 3 nieces.

Visitation will be Saturday September 27, at East Funeral Home 2807 Moores Lane in Texarkana, TX from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm followed by a grave side service at 2 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park located at 5101 W. 7th St., Texarkana, TX.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Mary Lou Pridgen Endowment for research in Sjogrens and Lupus or the charity of your choice.
