

Peggy Cullipher Mahurin, nee Sandine, of Texarkana, AR, peacefully passed away and joined the Lord on June 5, 2024, at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was born on May 3, 1940, in Herbine, AR, and her life was marked by love, faith, and devotion.
Peggy was a dedicated member of Mandeville Baptist Church, where she found solace and strength in her faith. Her unwavering commitment to her church community was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Clarence Cullipher, and her brothers William, JL, and Tommy Sandine, all from Wilmer, AR.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of the last 18 years, Clayton Michael "Mike" Mahurin, who stood by her side throughout their journey together. She is also survived by her sister, Macel Linzy Loomis of New Edinburgh, AR.
Peggy's devotion to her family was unparalleled, and she leaves behind a lasting impact on each of their lives. She is survived by her children: Jimmy (Rhonda) Cullipher and Ken (Jennifer) Cullipher, both of Texarkana, and Debbie (Kevin) Seal of Hensley, AR.
Peggy's love and guidance will forever be cherished by her grandchildren: Candace (Joe) Drozal, Chad Cullipher, Jason Schreiner, Brandi (Stephen) Robinson, Ashley McGahhey, Brad (Amber) Cullipher, Corey (Rachel) McCalman, Daniel (McKenzie) Dobbins, Caitlin Cullipher, and Will (Madeline) Cullipher.
Peggy's warm smile, kind heart, and fun spirit will be deeply missed by her great-grandchildren: Alex (Grace) Drozal, Ross Robinson, Gwen Drozal, Channing Cullipher, Rex Robinson, Abby Drozal, Brynlee McCalman, Duke Robinson, Aiden Dobbins, Chloe Cullipher, Hudson McCrary, Riggs Robinson, Alex McGahhey, Colvin McCalman, Ella McCalman, Wyatt Cullipher, and great-great grandson Logan Drozal.
While we mourn the loss of Peggy, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the love she shared. Her legacy of faith, family, and kindness will continue to inspire us all. Peggy's vibrant personality and love for life touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever be cherished by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 7th, 2024 at East Funeral Home-Downtown.
A funeral service to honor Peggy's life will be held at East Funeral Home-Downtown, located at 602 Olive St, where friends and family will gather to share memories and pay their respects. The service will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Guthrie officiating. Following the service, Peggy will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Highway 67, where she will find eternal peace.
