Sandra Lynn Townsend

Mrs. Townsend was born September 7th, 1940 in Texarkana, Texas. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Larry Townsend.

Throughout her working years Mrs. Townsend was a teacher and librarian in the DFW and Texarkana area.

She loved to travel and volunteered for many organizations. She was a 1958 Texas High graduate and was on the reunion committee organizing their gatherings.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law; Kristen and Lowell McKenzie and Dana Fletcher and her partner Steven Buck and one granddaughter Kennedy DeMarco.

Also left to cherish her memory are a niece Judy Brinkley Boone and nephew Kevin Brinkley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday , March 17th, 2025 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, March 18th, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Mike Adams officiating.

Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
