We had so much fun as teenagers. I am so glad we were able to reunite in the last few years. I was so looking forward to you coming back to Tampa to visit. And I wanted to go visit you in Texas. Life is so unpredictable and this proves it. You’re with George now and I’m sure the laughs and memories are abundant. I’ll see you hopefully in the distant future. But we never know. Rest easy old friend.

My strongest memory of Alex was when he shared with me how he fled Cuba to come to America. It was an amazing story of bravery in one so young as he was back then.
The Lacombes are grateful to him and Isabel for giving us our second daughter, Aleini.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Fernandez family.
