

Alexander James Wildman III, D.D.S., M.S.D., 82, of The Woodlands, TX and formerly of Eugene, OR passed away December 13, 2010. He was born September 4, 1928 in Hamilton, OH to the late Alexander James Wildman, Jr. and Julia Parker Wildman. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Susan Wildman; sons Jeffrey Wildman and wife Mary, Timothy Wildman, Lex Wildman and wife Karen; grandchildren Ashley, Haley, Katie, Alex and Kristine; and sister Ethel Gast and husband Park.
Jim was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne and later received his D.D.S. and M.S.D. from Northwestern University Dental School, Chicago, IL. He was a member of the American Board of Orthodontics and the Oregon Dental Society. Most of his professional life, Jim was involved in product development in the orthodontic field where he was known as a pioneer. He practiced orthodontics for 44 years in Eugene, OR and retired in January of 1999. He and Susan then moved to The Woodlands, TX. Jim had 26 patents, receiving his last one this past November. He had a passion for fly fishing in the rivers in Oregon and passed that love onto his sons and grandson. Jim was an avid fan of the University of Oregon Ducks, “Go Ducks”!
A celebration of Jim’s life is set for 11:00 A.M., December 20, 2010 in the Chapel at Fellowship of the Woodlands, 1 Fellowship Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77382.
