

Alice Josephine Pulatie, 84, passed away in Rockwall, TX, March 15, 2021. She was born in Stratford, CT, the daughter of Francis J. and Alice Griffin Riley. Alice is survived by three of her children and 11 grandchildren: Barbara Thompson (Jim) their children Jeni and Tony Wilkins; LTC Margaret Mosley her children Jason and Joshua; Earl James (Martha) and their surviving children Steven, Nicole, Robert and Sarah; Denise Sisson (deceased) and her children Elizabeth Davis (Jeremy), Greg and Chris Dierlam. Sisters Joan Fries and Ann Candela; sisters-in-law Bernadette Riley, Sue Riley, Mary Lou Riley, Carmen Shackett, and brother James Riley (Barbara). In addition, 13 great grandchildren so far.
Alice was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Earl James, daughter Denise Sisson, granddaughter Lauren Pulatie, stepmother Elizabeth Shackett Riley and her children Tom (Ginger), Joseph, and Sheila Shackett, sister Rosemary Smith, brothers Frank, John, and Paul Riley, and brothers-in-laws August Candela, John Fries and John Smith.
Alice was blessed with a large family and cherished her role as a military wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. Always active as a volunteer and in her community serving in the POA, Water Board and the Senior Center in Willis TX. Following her retirement from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Alice spent her retirement years traveling and interacting with family and friends at the Walnut Cove community and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe, Texas.
Known for being a compassionate and giving person, Alice was loved and respected by her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all.
On April 3, 2021 at Forest Park the Woodlands, a visitation will be held from 11am-12pm, service begins at noon, followed by internment.
