Today I choose joy because the alternate is pain, sorrow and anger.
Today I choose joy because she no longer suffers.
Today I choose joy because even though we lost she has won.
Today I choose joy because I remember how much she supported me even though she was the one who needed support.
Today I choose joy because she gave me the daughters who now are my closest link to her.
Today I choose joy because I remember her loving embrace.
Today I choose joy because that's how she lived her life even when I would have given up.
Those who knew Amy know she was a fighter. She fought round after round continuing to beat the odds, always with grace and a smile. Giving up was not something she knew how to do. She has now won her championship title and God himself has put her on His shoulders to parade her around the ring. She is an inspiration for myself, our girls and everyone she spoke to. I will miss her as long as I am on this side of Heaven and long to be with her again. So even though we are all still here loving, missing and selfishly wanting her back I will encourage you to choose joy because that is what she would do.
