

Anthony Duryea passed away Monday morning, June 13, 2022 in The Woodlands, Texas. Affectionately known as "Tony" by his loved ones and friends, he was born December 10, 1942 in Orange, Texas to Ken and Bobbie (Brokaw) Duryea. He was 79 years of age.
Tony's family moved to Bellaire, Texas in 1949 where he spent his youth and distinguished himself as an outstanding athlete at Bellaire High School. He received a football scholarship to Southern Methodist University and completed his Bachelor's degree at the University of Houston.
Tony enjoyed a successful career in Houston as a salesman of telecommunications equipment for several companies including Xerox and IBM. Upon retirement, he and his wife, Peggy, set out on a 20-year adventure exploring the continental United States and Canada in their RV and enjoying several trips overseas. In addition to traveling, Tony's passions included reading, history, sports, sailing, family and reminiscing with friends acquired during childhood and his career.
Tony leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 48 years, Peggy; one sister, Dian and husband Frank; one brother, Doug and wife Ellen; brother-in-law, Bill and wife Sandy; sisters-in-law, Dorothy and husband Steve, Mary and husband Richard; four beloved nieces and nephews, Melissa and husband Aaron, Michael and wife Shannon, Todd and wife Melissa, and Mary and boyfriend Mark; and many extended family and dear friends.
