We are so sorry to learn of Barbara's passing. She and John were our next door neighbors for many years, then she and Mike, and finally just "Barbara down the street", when she returned. I used to stop to visit while walking our dog, if Barbara was sitting out in her garage. We will miss her as our long-time neighbor.

My favorite was to paint pictures for you. I still remember putting up the flower on your wall and it still sticks there to this day. She appreciated all of my artwork I have ever done. Another favorite memory is watching the price is right every morning at 10am. Grandma was so sweet and so smart. I loved every conversation I was able to have with her and each one was held close to my heart. My favorite trips would be to the Woodlands. The Woodlands would just scream grandma and it was my favorite vacation. I am so thankful for grandma and all that she has been able to do for me and my family. My memories are endless from house to house she has lived in, her awesome car, and exciting HEB trips. I love you grandma, miss you so much! 

I already miss the best bacon ever she would make me, and the kind, caring and wise words from her. I always looked forward to the trips to stay at her house, and I am so glad I was able to spend so much time with her before her passing. I miss her so much and will hope to meet her again one day 

I am truly blessed to have had Barbara as my mother in law for 43+ years.  She was a kind, loving Christian woman who treated me like a daughter.   

Barbara was an amazing cook and made them best carrot cake that I have ever had.  She was an avid reader and always had a book close by her side.  She loved to watch golf on TV and was always up on the game.  She loved music and would watch music videos and concerts on her tablet.   

Barbara became a dear friend to my mother one year when the 3 of us took a road trip to Florida to visit her daughter.  It was a fun trip and it gave both of my favorite ladies a chance to get to know each other.  We laughed a lot and they both had a great time.  When my mom came to town, we would get together and have lunch with Barbara or just go by her house for them to visit.  They loved each other and were always asking me about the other.  

Barbara loved children and they loved too.  As a daughter-in-law,  I would bring my nieces to visit her and she loved them and they loved her.  She treated them like they were here grand children.  She would always ask about them when I would visit her.   My family loved her and always asked "How is Mrs. Nation doing?"

Barbara was an amazing woman and was loved by all who knew her.  I love her and  will miss her dearly.   I will miss her saying "love you Paulette" when I would leave after our visits.

Heaven gained an Angel!  Love you Barbara!!!

I looked forward to our daily FaceTime calls to say hello and see how she’s doing. 
She was full of wisdom and grace and the smartest person I know. She had the biggest heart and always willing to help others, by donating clothing, blankets and money to women and children in need.  She spoke her mind and I loved her for that. 
She loved her children and grandchildren.
We loved visiting her and taking her to the waterfront for a stroll to see the people and Koi pond and stopping by Starbucks for a coffee on the way home.
I miss you terribly, but know you were united with Dad, David #1, Larry #2 & Mike #3. 
 I know they greeted you with open arms.

How many daughter -in-laws can say that not only did they love their mother-in-law but that they liked her a lot as well. I can hear her laughing at whatever problem I thought I had then she didn't hesitate to share a quick way to get over it!
