Brian Terence Dolan, born November 25, 1958 in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, passed away early Tuesday morning on February 25, 2025 at Houston Methodist Hospital in Conroe, Texas. Brian was 66 years old when he came to the end of his tough battle with small cell lung cancer. He was a strong man and he gave the fight all of his strength for his three daughters but eventually chose to rest, receiving comfort care throughout the night until passing the next morning peacefully in the hospital.
Growing up in a small town in Pennsylvania, as a teenager Brian was a quiet kid who was thoughtful and gentle. After coming down to Texas for college, he met his beloved wife, Tammy White, who he instantly and forever bonded with. He was a man who was respectful and kind to any and all people equally and made the people in his life feel safe and loved. There were few sacrifices Brian wasn’t willing to make for his family. After starting a family, he worked for 30 years as a UPS driver, leaving early in the morning and returning late at night to take care of his wife and daughters that he loved so much. He raised his three daughters with all of the strength, knowledge and compassion that he had, and encouraged learning at every opportunity. Every year all of their Christmas stocking stuffers came from American Science and Surplus: magnets, geodes and crystal growing kits.
Brian was known everywhere he went as a goofy, gregarious, and good-natured man. He would make friends at every checkout line, gas station, and neighborhood park. All of his nurses remembered him for his stories he would proudly share recounting everything his daughters were doing in their lives, and all of his daughters’ friends would gleefully recount the sweet and humorous way he would come into a room to share his silly jokes when they were over. Brian made an immeasurable impact on the people in his life and taught them to approach every interaction with cheerful warmth and kindness.
Brian is survived by his three daughters, Amanda, Sherrie and Jamie Dolan, by his twin brother, Patrick Dolan and his grandson, Zachary Webb. He is predeceased by his mother, Joanna Dolan, his father, James Dolan, and his older brother Kevin Dolan. For his eternal rest, he will be reunited with his wife, Tammy Dolan, who passed away in 2012, interned together in the same niche in the columbarium found on the south side of The Chapel Mausoleum of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery.
The memorial to honor Brian Terence Dolan will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, at 3:00pm in the Chapel Mausoleum of the Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. The service is open to all friends and family who would like to join.
