I tried to call Bruce yesterday, (16-June-22), Both numbers were disconnected. I called each number about 3 times to be sure as Bruce has always answered his phone. I googled his name this morning and discovered his Obituary. The obligatory statements are, "I am so sorry for your loss", and "He was such a great person", etc... Those may be standard fare in these circumstances, but it doesn't make them any less accurate. I am heartbroken to learn of this selfishly for me, but that is nothing compared to how you, his family are feeling, I know. I know this because Bruce was the consummate family man.    When we worked together, he gushed about his wife and children regularly. I was there when Lisa had her health scare and new how scared Bruce was then. His kids meant everything to him also. I have stories that I would have loved to share. But 2000 characters won't allow for those. I will close with a couple things. I truly wish I had known of his passing at the time, but I understand that it is a factor of me being a poor friend for always feeling like I was too busy to reach out more instead of the once-every 2-3 years quick call when I had a question that I knew Bruce could always answer. I loved Bruce for simply being a great human with a huge heart. He rarely said cuss words and always substituted "Dang it". Hilarious!
Also, one of the funniest things in my experience with Bruce was the fact that, after working with Bruce for about 3-4 months, I discovered his middle name was Wayne... well, I go by Rob mostly, but my first name is Robin, so I discovered he and I were the dynamic duo... Bruce Wayne and Robin.

A good and dear man. In my toughest days you encouraged and brought a smile. I know where you are. 

I am just reading Sheldon’s memory of Bruce. I am so very sorry to hear this. Met Bruce when we taught Missionettes and Royal Rangers when our kids were small. Have been friends ever since. Would call him when I needed anything electrical done and we would sit and chat after the work was done. Lisa and family if there is anything u need even if it is just a hug will be there for you. I know he is in good hands. Jesus loves you!!!

My memories of Bruce & Lisa were nothing but pure joy and love.  As a little girl I looked up to all the Hearrons who were very much a part of my life growing up.  While the pain is real for those still here on earth, it is so comforting to know he is rejoicing in heaven.  We are praying for everyone of you during this difficult time.  I amongst many others were so blessed to have him touch my life in the kindest way.  He will live on through his beautiful family always.

No one’s eyes sparkled brighter than Bruce’s did….all throughout his lifetime.  His pure and genuine love for people and for his Savior we’re evident!  His love for life….all the fun stuff…made him such a joy to be with….and spectating while he was a sportsman was a treasure. Lisa, you had a catch of a man, and the love you two shared was uniquely adventurous and forever-lasting.  He caught you and you caught him! …and God Himself was the strength holding you together. I always enjoyed that great big bear hug every time I saw him on volleyball nights. He would always greet me with a great big smile and a bear hug.  He was a fabulous player and so fun to be around. His loud noises on the volleyball court made me smile. I always enjoyed watching this family huddle around the volleyball courts and sidelines laughing, joking, and just being together. We are blessed to have been apart of this family and we will always remember the head hancho Bruce Hearron- always in our hearts!

The world has lost a great man and we will
miss Bruce until the day we meet again. It was an honor to know and play football with Bruce. He inspired me and reminded me that we can all give a little more. God bless. 

I will always remember his smile. He made sure to wave every time  he passed the house. I will miss the toot of his horn. 

Bruce had that kind of love that is rare. He loved all the way, like God wants us all to love one another. And there was nothing like a bear hug from Bruce to let you know you were truly loved in that way! The unity he and Lisa displayed in thier marriage is the example all couples dream of. He is a  dear friend, a brother, and will always be Uncle Bruce to my kids. I already miss you so much. It's hard to imagine waiting for eternity to see that smile again.  But until then, we can see it in your family. We are all blessed for having had you in our lives .

So sorry to hear of the passing of Bruce.  He was a great guy that was a pleasure to have do our electrical work.  We are praying for comfort and guidance for the family in the days ahead.

Uncle Bruce had the loudest burps I've ever heard. That laughing hoot of his is one that's imprinted down into my guts.

And he definitely scared the pee out of me a time or two when he'd play hide + seek with us. 
Uncle Bruce was always one of my favorite people to listen to telling story... he would sit around with my dad + their brothers, + Papa Bill, recounting their experiences + all the goofy things they'd done in their younger days...  Uncle Bruce was always so animated. He is a huge reason why I tell story the way I do, now. 

He loves all of his people so massively.

I remember everytime Bruce seen me at TSH Church. He would give me a bear hug. My sympathies and condolences to Lisa and his family. Rest in Peace, Bruce

I was Bruce’s football coach at McCullough High School. He started for us on offense, defense, and ALL our special teams. When we tried to take him off special teams to give him a little rest-he got mad and we had to put him back out there! 
Last time I saw Bruce I was blowing leaves off the roof and he stopped and wanted to take over the job. I told him I was nearly through and just stand out there in the front yard and catch me if I fell. There was NO doubt in my mind he could have done it-even though he was in his mid to late fifties. 
In a 40 year coaching career-never had another player with as much energy. I loved Bruce Hearron! My prayers are with the entire Hearron family. 

Bruce was an amazing man with a heart of kindness for everyone.  Always a smile and a helping hand. A gentleman  always.  His contributions to our world were wonderful.  I had the pleasure to know him.  A treasure in life and a great legacy, he is a Herron, a wonderful family.  God Bless the Herron family in a time of sorrow.
