Carolyn Sue McCann (nee Minefee) of Spring, TX passed away on August 22, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
The oldest of nine siblings, Carolyn was born in Houston, TX on December 27, 1942 to parents Henry Clinton Minefee and Geraldine Minefee (nee Garrison). A graduate of Blooming Grove High School, Carolyn spent much of her life raising her two children, Stephanie Michelle McCann and Michael Carter McCann.
Carolyn loved the Lord and wholeheartedly believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior. She served in the children’s ministry of her local church for many years teaching the “Tiny Tots” Sunday School class, sharing the love of Jesus with her precious preschoolers. She also took joy in serving God by preparing for the Lord’s Supper for many years. Carolyn enjoyed attending ladies’ Bible study and fellowshipping with her friends there. At home, she could often be found with her Bible in her lap reading and praying over God’s Word.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Merwyn McCann; parents Henry and Geraldine; and brother Walter Minefee. She is survived by her children, Stephanie and Michael and great-grandson Castor, who was the light of her life. Also surviving Carolyn are her siblings, Jayne Longley and husband John; Kathy Garrett and husband A.J.; Sharon Potzer; Lisa Johnson and husband Ronnie; Joyce Underwood and husband Irvin; Melvin Minefee and wife Jeanette; Kenneth Minefee; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, TX 77384 on August 29, 2024 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home Friday August 30, 2024 at 10:00AM and a burial to follow the same day at 3:00PM at Ramah Cemetery, 291 Co Rd 4475, Tenaha, TX 75974.
