Mrs. Shetz loved to travel, her favorite country to travel to was Italy. She was also very active in her church. Catherine is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Frederick Shetz, Sr., daughters Catherine and Jennifer, and her sister, Margaret Heayn. She is survived by her daughter, Roseann Hampton (husband Rodney), sons, Fred (wife Marybeth), Tim (wife Patty), and Matt. Catherine is also survived by her brother Russell Geiser and her grandchildren Sarina Slentz, Mitchell Slentz, Thomas Shetz, Stephanie Hampton, and Andrew Hampton. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Magnolia Room at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery A memorial mass will be held at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch The Woodlands, TX 77381 at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 17, 2011. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Lymphoma Leukemia Society or St. Vincent de Paul c/o Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church.
