Cindy was born on November 22, 1958, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Robert and Marilyn Cochrane. She grew up with her siblings — Nancy, Duncan, Donald, and Robert — and cherished the closeness of her family throughout her life.
On January 4, 1981, she married her beloved husband, Michael Welsh. Together they built a life rooted in faith, love, and unwavering devotion. Cindy was a dedicated and loving mother to Tyler, Justin, and Chelsea, and a proud and joyful “Cici” to her grandchildren: Joaquin, Maribel, and Luca — who brought endless light into her life.
Cindy’s deep and steadfast faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the foundation of her life and the source of her strength, peace, and grace. Her daily life was a shining testament to her faith which was marked by kindness, humility, and unconditional love for others. She attended Indiana University and enjoyed a professional career as a realtor for 22 years, known not only for her professionalism but for the compassion and warmth she brought to every client and colleague.
Cindy found joy in many simple things — bible study, leading bible studies and teaching the word of God, reading a good book, music, working in her garden, crafting with care, and spending time with friends and family. Her happiest moments were often at Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri spending time on the water where she was surrounded by the people she loved most. She also enjoyed travel, the excitement of New Orleans, baseball, football, fine dining and having a spirited debate on any number of topics.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Michael; her children Tyler, Justin, and Chelsea; her cherished grandchildren Joaquin, Maribel, and Luca; her sister Nancy and brother Robert; and many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marilyn Cochrane, and her brothers Duncan and Donald.
