David Gilbert Morales

David was a sweet and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend, with a heart of gold and great sense of humor. His loves in life were his family, his dog, movies, sports, sweets, and people.

In his prime, Dave was a superior athlete who won many medals in track and field and accolades as a half back in football. He carried his passion for sports by coaching his sons and daughter in baseball, softball, football, and track and field. He was also an avid golfer who loved organizing fundraising golf tournaments for organizations he was involved in, and also for his family reunions.

David spent the majority of his career in the beverage industry working as a “beer man”, representing Miller Lite and various other beer brands. He was also involved in many organizations throughout his life, starting with the Inca Social Club in San Antonio, TX, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Go Tejano Committee, LULAC, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

After retiring, he devoted his time to his wife, "Lu", his little buddy Kobi, and as a taxi driver for his three grandsons. Also in retirement, he spent nearly 10 years as a crossing guard at Broadway Elementary school in Spring, TX. He loved crossing the children and being a part of the Broadway family.

When asked what his greatest accomplishments in life were, he would proudly boast, marrying my wife “Lu”, and having our children, David, Lisa, and Mark.

The simple things that always put a smile on Dave’s face were watching a good movie, drinking a Big Red, eating a steak, and finishing if off with a piece of Pan de Dulce.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Louise Morales and is survived by his sister Blanca Varela, sons David Anthony and Mark Andrew Morales, his daughter Lisa Renee Morales, grandson Shane Morales and his wife Annalies, and their children Emmy and Lily. His other grandsons, Raymond and David B Morales, and Mark Daniel Cameron and his children, and granddaughter Melissa Cameron Dall and her family.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home in The Woodlands, Texas on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Funeral service for David Gilbert Morales will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 2:00pm.

There will be a private family committal.
