Dave, as he was known by most of his family and friends, was known as a kind and loving husband and father. He loved spending time with his children and granddaughters. When his children were little he would coach his sons Tee-Ball and Baseball teams. He also enjoyed fishing at the lakes on his boat. Later in life, he loved watching birds and visiting bird stores in The Woodlands to search for feeders that squirrels wouldn’t take over. He enjoyed working in his yard, where he spent hours gardening. Davis also loved to travel, taking trips to Canada and cruises to the Western Caribbean. He loved learning the culture of the places he visited and most of all, trying the new cuisine. He really loved eating, which showed in his love of all things BBQ. He would drive around Texas to search for the best polish sausage to put on the smoker and pit. He loved to bring his parents over every few weeks for BBQ dinners. While living in New Jersey he would teach friends and neighbors his passion of making the perfect brisket. He was a great friend and neighbor, always willing to share with others.
