Deborah Kay Alis

Deb was born in Rockford, Illinois on October 12, 1953. She graduated from Rockford West High School and continued her studies at Rockford Memorial Hospital's School of Nursing where she received her Diploma of Nursing. Deb went on to enjoy a nursing successful career at Rockford Memorial Hospital and Interim Health Care.

Deb married her beloved husband, Jeffery Alis, on July 6, 1974. Together they built a wonderful life together surrounded by the love of their children and grandchildren.

A creator of beauty in all forms, Deb enjoyed gardening, bringing light to life through glass, and sharing her home cooked meals with family and friends. She could often be found dabbling in other art forms while working on her latest project.

Deb was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn Sword and step-father Ernie Sword, and her brother Mark Hamilton. She is survived by her husband Jeffery Alis; children Benjamin (Gina) Alis and Morgan (Matthew) Winquist; grandchildren Avanell Jolicoeur, Mercedes Jolicoeur, and Sebastian Winquist; and brothers Matt and Todd Hamilton.

The family wishes to thank Houston Methodist The Woodlands ICU Team for the compassionate care and dedication they provided to Deb and her family.

A visitation will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384, on February 27, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
