

Delores Rachel Giles Cade, 72, who was also known to her family and friends as "Dee Dee". She was born to L'Mordy Ray Giles and Juanita Huffman, on August 9, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois at Cook County Hospital.
Dee Dee shared the same birthday as Whitney Houston.
Dee Dee was the eldest girl of seven siblings, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Dee Dee was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago.
Dee Dee's favorite song was "Here I am to Worship" by Tim Hughes.
She loved Red Fingernail Polish and Red Lipstick. When you asked her how she was doing, she always responded, "Wonderful!"
Dee Dee was tall in stature. In her twenties, she was a fashion model for some of the major department stores in Chicago. She gave birth to her first daughter Erika Michelle Neely, Chicago, 1969.
She gave her life to the Lord in Chicago, 1973, at the age of 25 years old.
She gave birth to her second daughter, Sheila Helena Giles, Chicago, 1981.
In her twenties, she studied at Malcolm X College.
In her thirties, she studied at the Ray Vogue School of Design, Chicago. Her major was Interior Design. She was also seamstress and designed her own wardrobe. One design that she made was a beautiful blue dress, for her second daughter Sheila Helena Giles's kindergarten graduation.
She taught sewing classes in Chicago at the Centers for New Horizons - a Non Profit that helps the underprivileged.
Dee Dee had so many gifts and talents. She was a Psalmist and powerful prayer warrior, an artist and an excellent chef. Her daughter nicknamed her, "Chef Boy R Dee Dee.
Dee Dee became a Military Wife and married Melvyn Cade on September 30, 1989, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, in Chicago, Illinois. She was married until 2004, until the passing of her husband.
She was a Commercial Collector in Chicago, Illinois for several Fortune 500 Companies.
Dee Dee loved the Lord with her whole heart, mind, soul, and lived an Inspirational life.
In her twenties, she would pass out biblical tracts on the streets of Chicago and witness to people about the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Her last job was as a Care Pastor at Crusaders Ministries, where she led a team of more that 50 prayer warriors. She holds a Ministerial License, with a concentration in the Prophetic Anointing.
She moved to Houston, Texas, in 2019, and became a member of Lakewood Church, with Pastor Joel and Victoria Osteen. She said this is where she wanted to be.
Dee Dee went home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2020.
She is survived by her two daughters, Erika Michelle Neely, 51 and Sheila Helena Giles, 39, one grandson, Bradley Antoine Ballard Jr., 30, two great grand daughters Xia Genelle Ballard, 2 and Xuri Chanel Ballard, 7 mos., two siblings, a list of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
