She was born in Aransas Pass, Texas on April 3, 1938 and was the 2nd of six children. She was raised on a dairy farm on the north side of Houston and was a country girl at heart. Dolly graduated from Spring High School where she met her lifelong sweetheart Charles Allen Barron.
Charles and Dolly married on June 15,1957. Dolly was a dedicated housewife and mother of eight children. She ran a tight ship and protected and loved her children fiercely. Dolly had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and have fun. At times she could be mischievous and enjoyed a good prank.
As a young adult Dolly gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ. She had a passion for the Lord and shared her faith with family and friends. She was a true prayer warrior and had a remarkable compassion for those that were down and out.
She was preceded in death by parents, Walton and Leona Wilson; stepmother Emma Wilson; brothers, Harold Wilson, Benny Wilson, and Clyde Wilson; grandson, Jacob Barron; son-in-law, Ramon Jacoby.
She is survived by husband, Charles Barron; children, Chuck (Cindy) Barron, Danny (Lan) Barron, Sherry (Andy) Fincher, Jamie (Johnifer) Barron, Harold Wayne(April) Barron, Bonnie Barron Mangum, Stephen Barron, and Jenny Jacoby; sister, Janice Wilson; brother, Jerry Wilson; grandchildren Joanna, Jana, Ryan, Hunter, Addison, Colin, Randy, Crystal, Sailor, Joshua, Jace, Caleb, Madi, Anna, Lilly, Ella, Lenae, Kayla, Ricky, Logan; great grandchildren Jasmine, Cash, Violet, Levi, Owen, Jack, Audrey, Molly, Isaac, Israel, Liam, Theo, Iñigo, Augustin, Johann, Declan, Vincent, Alysa; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. A Celebration of life will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 at 12:00PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and a Graveside service immediately afterwards at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery. A Catered Reception will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home from 1:30PM to 3:30PM on Monday, March 4, 2024.
