James Michael Klein, 66, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 19th after a battle with melanoma cancer. He was born in Springfield, Illinois on April 7, 1949. Jim graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in Finance and he was a proud Illini fan. He was married to Patricia Ann Lazzari on October 5, 1974. Jim started his career in Chicago, Illinois as a federal agent with the U.S. Department of Treasury. He went on to work for ITT Financial in St. Louis, Missouri, building and heading their corporate security division. He then relocated to Houston, Texas to work for Compaq Computer Corporation. He ended his career at BMC Software as the Director of Global Security.
Jim had a passion for many things in life, both big and small. He loved football season, family vacations, nights out on the town, good coffee and wine, and Saturday morning rides with friends on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Most of all, he loved his family unconditionally and cherished each and every moment with them. He will be remembered as a man full of integrity, humor and love.
Jim is survived by his wife Pat Klein, of The Woodlands, Texas, his daughter Stacey Peterson, of The Woodlands, Texas, her husband Kyle Peterson and their three children, Riley, Kinsey and Tyler, his son Brett Klein of Houston, Texas, his daughter Lauren Tinsley of Conroe, Texas and her husband Ben Tinsley, his sister Loretta Wheeler of Carrollton, Illinois and his sister Gail Alison of Edwardsville, Illinois.
A viewing will be held from 5:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, September 24th at Forest Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in The Woodlands, Texas. Funeral arrangements will be held Friday, September 25th at 10:30AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands, Texas.
