He was born in New York, New York on September 19, 1949. Jim graduated from Eastern Military Academy and received his J.D. degree from Adelphi University. He was married to Kathy Lynn Leibold on October 6, 1974.
Jim worked in Commercial Credit and Real Estate. He was a volunteer fire fighter and paramedic with Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department.
Jim attended Eastern Military Academy from the age of thirteen and served in Special Forces. He had a love for his country and a constant desire to protect those he loved.
Jim loved the sciences and Science Fiction – anything from Star Trek to Stargate. He had a love for flying. He never missed a televised launch of all NASA Space Program rockets and space shuttles.
He was a member of the Lions Club and B.P.O. Elks and had a passion for music, especially percussion. He loved to travel.
He was survived by his wife, Kathy Lynn Leibold; son, Charles Robert “Chad” Leibold; sister, Patricianne Garcia; uncle, Richard Leibold; nephew, James Garcia and niece, Jennifer Allison.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384 on September 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
