Jamie Elizabeth Herrin

She was born on May 4, 1994 to John K. Sr, and Victoria Buoy. She was welcomed into this world by her parents and her older sister Traci Nicole Buoy McCaskill.

In her early years, Jamie was head-strong and determined (stubborn). She enjoyed reading, music and was a huge animal lover.

Jamie attended Aldine Senior High and finished her high school education at Parkview Baptist School in 2011. She immediately enrolled in Lone Star Community College to earn her Certified Medical Assistant Certificate. She went on to help others by becoming a medical assistant and ended at a medical practice in Huntsville TX with a staff that went above and beyond in treating her like family.

On June 13, 2014, Jamie married the love of her life, Stephen Michael Herrin, Jr. They were married for 3 years before he passed away due to a pulmonary embolism that was unknown and unexpected by all. They were childhood sweethearts and had an incredible bond.

Jamie is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Michael Herrin Jr; maternal grandfather Virgil Lee Jackson; grandfather in-law Guy Herrin; paternal grandfather William Edward Buoy Sr.

Jamie is survived by her parents, John and Victoria Buoy; sister, Traci McCaskill and husband, John; nephews, Jacob and Logan McCaskill; Grandmother, Maxine Jackson, Grandmother-in-law, Sandy Herrin; Aunt-in-law Darla Herrin; Uncle-in-law Junior Herrin; her fur-baby that she and Stephen raised, Harly, and many other loving family members and friends.

True to Jamie’s wishes, no service has been planned, as she was never one to be the center of attention. We ask that in place of a memorial service you look for people around you that might benefit from a random act of kindness. We ask that in lieu of flowers you donate to the American Cancer Society or St Jude Children’s Hospital.
