He was born in East Bernard, Texas, on 5 June 1936. Joseph graduated from Reagen High School. He was married to Lucille Ann Hodge on 19 June 1959.
Throughout his life, Joe was a man of many hats. He worked as a Private Pilot, Flight Instructor, Master Electrician and Electrical Engineer. He was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, NRA, and if asked about his passion for flying airplanes, he would have likely responded, “there are no cops in the sky.”
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; father, Joseph Frank Koudelka Sr.; mother, Eleanor Frances; and brother, John Vincent.
He is survived by his 7 children: Joseph Frank Koudelka III, John Jacob, Robert William and his wife Cathy Koudelka, Monica Lucille, Christopher Michael, Timothy Evan and his wife Della, and Kari Denise.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, his brother Richard Koudelka, and sister Betty Rice.
The family will receive friends on 5 June 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on 6 June 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands Texas.
